We operate entirely on donations from generous organizations and individuals like you

The Community Food Pantry of Spring Green is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your gift is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

OUR EXPENSES CURRENTLY OUTPACE THE DONATIONS WE RECEIVE

Over the last few years there has been a steady increase of people in our River Valley Community that are in need of food assistance.  The Community Food Pantry of Spring Green is currently serving about 1000 people per month. Combine this with the increase in food prices and our expenses are now larger than the donations coming in.

What is food insecurity?

Food insecurity is an official term from the USDA. It's when people don't have enough to eat and don't know where their next meal will come from.

In Sauk County 7.3% people are living with Food Insecurity*

Even people with a steady income and access to affordable housing people can experience a temporary setback that leads to food insecurity, including job loss, medical emergency, natural disaster or family crisis.

Giving money allows our Community Food Pantry the most options for helping our families in need

Your money goes farther.

The Food Pantry is able to purchase groceries at a reduced or bulk rate from various retailers or Second Harvest.

We are able to purchase specific items that are in short supply and may not have been otherwise donated.

Money doesn't have an expiration date. We are able to allocate funds throughout the year to high-volume times when it can do the most good.

Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to accept individual food donations due to limited staff and limited storage space.

With your continued support, we hope this will change in the future.  Thank you for your understanding and patience!

If you wish organize a drive, that is wonderful!
