Food Distribution Times
Distributions are held on the THIRD MONDAY of each month
Morning time is 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m - Afternoon time is 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m
How it works
Schedule your food pick-up time each month.
When scheduling, you will be able to place your specific food order based on the food we have available.
Come to the pantry at your scheduled time.
Stay in your car, someone will be there to guide you.
The volunteeers will bring your pre-packed items to your car.
Public health
Given the public health concerns with the COVID-19 virus, the Food Pantry is modifying procedures until further notice. It is organized to limit contact with other clients and volunteers. If you have any questions please ask.

The packages you will receive
All orders will be pre-packed inside our building according to the number of your family members. We will include as much of the appropriate grocery items that we have available; frozen meat, canned goods, coffee, chips, cookies, nutrition bars, baked goods, breads, cereals, vegetables, fruits and also the basics for personal hygiene such as toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, etc.

Cat & dog food
If available cat & dog food will also be distributed outside, in the back parking lot area. Please wait your turn for pet food.​
Items to bring with you
We sometimes are in need of egg carton. We are able to purchase eggs at a substantial cost savings if we supply the egg cartons - so please bring egg cartons if you can. Thank you!

Do you have an urgent food need?
We recognize life does not always happen on a schedule. Critical situations calling for food resources may occur outside of normal Food Pantry hours. We want to help. Please call Heather at 608.459.5512 and leave a message. We will return your call within 24 hours.

Inclement weather information
If the River Valley School District is closed, we are closed. If Madison schools are closed, we may be closed due to the shipping of food. Please check our website's calendar, facebook, WRCO or call. We will reschedule the distribution day to the following Monday. Your food pick up time will remain the same. There is no need to schedule again.
Updates
Check this website for food pantry updates, changes in procedures and distribution dates. We will also use the Home News newspaper and on WRCO radio to communicate changes.

Yearly Resgistration Is Required
All clients are required to register at their first visit of each year and supply to us the following information.
Please Bring:
1. One form of proof of residency within the River Valley School District, this can be a Driver's License, State ID, or a recent electric or heat bill that has the address on it showing residency within the school district.
2. The number of people in your family household.
